Guest crimminsky Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 You've all heard of the dreaded answerphone symbol staying on, well I'm having the opposite problem, no symbol at all!!! Somebody told me that they had left a message and I checked, 16 Messages dating back to october the 3rd!!! at first i thought it was my choice of homesreen but alas no, whatever one I use it's still the same. Is this a phone problem or orange?
Guest blewer Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 I've had this problem loads. A right pain in the ass. Once you have read/deleted or saved all of your messages it seems to reset itself and things go back to normal. At least till next time it happens (which is about once a month at the moment for me)
Guest crimminsky Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Blewer, is that a problem with the symbol being on all the time or is it not coming on at all?
Guest blewer Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Blewer, is that a problem with the symbol being on all the time or is it not coming on at all? Not coming on at all. It happened this weekend, I had loads of missed calls but no messages. I phoned my voicemail on Sunday evening and I had 5 new messages. Like I said above it tends to sort itself out when you have delt with all of the new messages. But this does happen about once a month to me. Think it must be an orange prolem though not phone.
Guest mattat Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 I seen it happen with other Orange phones so I'm guessing it's a network thing (probably just happens when the phone for some reason doesn't receive the network SMS telling the phone to turn the answer machine on), it happened most recently with a T610. If it keeps happening and you have Orange care or other insurance it might be worth complaining, as it may be that your phone has developed a fault that makes it more susceptible to missing the network SMS.
Guest crimminsky Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 spoke to OCS and my "symbol" was between networks heh heh, he sorted it out though and all in less than 2 minutes. Good old Orange ;-)
