Guest HurricaneDave Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Posted from my SmartPhone! hi,i got the spv when it first came out and as you know it comes with a leather case that has a magnetic flap..when i put my spv in the case it used to lock the keypad automatically which was very cool.my friend also had an spv but this auto lock did'nt work on his phone.i now have an e100 which is also missing this feature so i guess my question is why has this feature been removed as i really miss it or did my spv have a unique fault that caused the case to lock the keys?? PS:sorry for the essay i got carried away
Guest JoelRae Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Not heard of a case that locked your phone, would be pretty impressive!! Best way to autolock is to go Programs>Settings>Security>Enable Phone Lock then set the password to "0", so it's not hard to unlock!! Then just set the time you want it to lock after 8)
Guest comebackdx Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Never heard of this one, if my E100 ever locked in the case it was probably the result of the case pressing down on the hang up, and activating the lock function.
Guest HurricaneDave Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 ye see thats the thing,,it actually "was" the case that locked the keypd..i no this because i could put the phone in on its end so that the case was'nt anywer near the buttons and the phone would beep twice and then lock..so it was either a VERY impressive bug that was triggered by the magnetic flap on the case or it was a inbuilt feature on the phone
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Nope afraid not, you probably had the keyboard lock to time out, what did you used to press to unlock your phone after?
Guest HurricaneDave Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 ok i apreciate your thoughts on this topic and please dont take this the wrong way but i am not a newbie,,i did "not" have the keypad lock timeout turned on and can assure you the lock was triggered by the case..as i said it may have been some freaky fault on the phone that cause the magnetic flap on the case to lock the keys i really dont no but can assure you 100% that it was the case.. PS:is there any way i can start something maybe like a poll or survey kinda thing to see if this was an issue with anybody else "i "do not" think i know it all however i "do" know what i know"
