Guest shenmue2 Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Last week I attended the MS Office 2003 Launch in Anaheim California and spoke to the Verizon Reps there who mentioned that the Samsung i600 had SD I/O which can support the bluetooth, 802.11 cards, etc and not just memory. Obviously this was comfirmed by today's headlines. Here's the interesting part - is that the rep stated that the Samsung i600 will have the ability to upgrade to the new smartphone 2003 OS via firmware sometime next year. Shenmue

Guest Malkie Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 Eeexcellent! Verizon does like to confirm that apps/Hardware work with their products before they dump them on the unsuspecting public. I suspect it will happen just as you said "sometime next year".
Guest Brooktone Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 A Verizon tech support person told me the upgrade should be available 2nd or 3rd quarter of this year.
Guest hmfoster2 Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 I use the jabra bluetooth with my i600 now with the adapter. a card would be much nicer. do you know whose card will work ? Thanks Harvey
