Guest nickcornaglia Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 I have a phone with an unlocked padlock in my icon bar. I was told by Verizon that it meant my keypad was unlocked. But it stays the same even when my keypad is locked and I have never seen this in anyone elses screenshots.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 I'm resorting to answering my own questions here. I've since been told that it means Voice Privacy Notifications on/off. A setting in Call Options. If you disable the option the icon goes away.
Guest wolfrobinson Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 Thank you! That was driving me crazy. Of course it doesn't note that icon in the huge manual you get on the CD.
Guest Akademiks Posted July 3, 2004 Report Posted July 3, 2004 What does the voice privacy actually do? To my understanding it's suppose to automatically block your cell number from showing up on any caller ID. But I have it activated and my number still shows up, so what is the function of this feature?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 Glad I posted this! I forgot what it meant and did a search here on Modaco to find the answer...AGAIN! :)
