Guest Schioett Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 Hey! I'm getting my self an SPV E200 monday (17th Nov. uhhhh....) and since I'm a developer I naturally want to make my own homescreen! Being a developer (On Microsoft products) I'm fairly used to good solid references/manuals. But, does anybody know where to find a reference for the format of the homescreen in w2k3 ???? And also for the different plugins that exist natively in the OS?? How do you come up with those GUID's?? There's gotta be some reference you guys (who made you own homescreen - Midnight???) use or do you just dream stuff up and try it? Some of the homescreens I have seen are truely amasing, and it would be kewl to do some my self (sharing them with you offcause 8) ) Hope some of you homescreen makers want to shared your secrets with an (hopefully) upcoming homescreen maker Cheers Jesper
Guest CodeSmith Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 The only reference I have ever seen or used is this Microsft document. Very informative though. Good luck, it is fun once you get into it.
Guest statscat Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 There is also scant documentation in the smartphone sdk, so you may find downloading that to be useful, there is also a guide that includes the old orange plugin as I think they ahve developed several new one (ringtone, make an appointment etc)
Guest Richie M Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 As for creating the GUID's for plug-ins you have written yourself, there is a utility that comes in the SDK (well it was with 2002 anyway) that generates them for you, its covered in the SDK docs if i remember correctly. Sorry for the vague answer, not got the info to hand :?
