For anyone who's about to change phones, here's a quick way to get all your games and apps up and running on your new phone without "installing" anything

1) Get your "old" phone and connect it to your PC via Active Sync.

2) Explore to IPSM, Windows, Start Menu.

3) Right click Start Menu folder, and click Copy.

4) Paste it on to your PC's desktop.

5) Plug your "new" phone into your PC.

6) Explore to IPSM, Windows, Start Menu and DELETE it

7) Copy the Start Menu from your PC's Desktop.

8 ) Paste the Start Menu into the the Windows folder in IPSM on your new phone.

9) Remove the SD card from "old" phone and put it in your "new" phone, and all should work as normal ;)

Obviously, this assumes that all your programs are installed on your SD card (not the phone) and there could be the "odd" one or two games or apps that will require a fresh installation (if they affect the registry).

I'm sure there will be many people upgrading to the E200 over the next few weeks, and so when doing this, you should selectively copy the shortcuts you require into the Start Menu, as there will be new shortcuts on the E200 that we don't have on SPV's.

EDIT:- Also, more importantly, this could be used as a quick way to get up and running again after a major ROM update.

For example, when the 1.6 UK update comes out, I suspect it will wipe your IPSM, and I'm sure IPSM back ups using USBTerm won't work. So if you copy your Start Menu to your PC before the update, then copy it back over after the update, with the exception of a few settings like email etc. you'll be fully functional within a couple of minutes :(

that would be great if the e200 used the IPSM folder, but it doesnt have one

I know, that's why I said selectively copy the shortcuts you require into the Start Menu.

Which I guess is now in "Storage", "Windows" :?: Anyway, wherever it is, I'm sure you can copy the shortcuts there :?: (Correct me if I'm wrong ;) )
