Guest lowbug Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 This is the Parrot CK3000 full handsfree kit. Does it work with the E200?
Guest rikwebb Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 I have one of these, and have spoken to the makers, who say they are currently testing it with the e200. The plan is that it will be supported. Hope so, cos I dont fancy changing the car kit !! Hope this helps Rik
Guest lowbug Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 So what holds the phone? Is there a cradle to plug into, so the aerial works....
Guest lowbug Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 UPDATE:- spoke to Parrot today, they are in the process of testing it with the Smartphones, apprantly the biggest problem is getting the information from the OEM. They can update the kits via a flash update  Sooooo... If you like the idea of a Bluetooth voice activated kit for the SPV then badger them on.. 0033148036060 and post on the www.driveblue.com forum. I have pointed out to them how crap the E-lead orange kit is and the the Parrot kit would be great advantage...
Guest philg2000 Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 I have an E200 arriving tomorrow, so want to order a Car Kit - Any ideas if this will work with basic functionality? (Then maybe flash later for Voice Activation)
Guest lowbug Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Best bet it to post on the above forum
Guest greyt Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 Just tried my CK3000 with the E200. Can make outgoing calls using the handset, this gets passed to the CK3000. Incoming calls do not work since the E200 seems to poll the CK3000 for a split second every second. Voice dialling etc via the CK3000 certainly doesn't work since it cannot sync the phonebook etc.
Guest rikwebb Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 Well boys, I have had a Parrot CK3000 for a couple of years now, and they are very very good. BUT........ Its tempremental with the SPV E200. I have just flashed the car kit to the latest firmware - 3.11, but its still not working correctly ;) I have spotted another fatal flaw in our plans...., there is no voice diling on the e200, and thats what the kit generaly uses for full functionality (unless you own a Sony Ericson, which downloads its phone book into the kit). BUGGER ! If MS allow parrot the info to get the phonebook transfer working, we may be in luck. But then again, if I thought that might happen I would get a lottery ticket this WE  I will keep you informed. Rik
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 We could probably give them the info they need? P
Guest rikwebb Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 Its worth a go, I have spoken to them on the phone, and they seem pretty clued up, but heir english is not so good (French Guys). I have played with a Sony E T68 with the kit, when you bond, the kit downloads the phone book and all voice dialing is done in the Parrot. It even speaks the name of any incomming caller!, and all answer and phone commands are voice. Now thats handsfree ! Rik

I got the general thinking that they are interested in making the SPV work with it ( more so after i explained how crap the Orange one is ) but they seemed to have issues getting information from the OEM's with the exception of a few OEM'S. I really think this would be the ideal partner for the SPV, if we can help them crack it then that would be fantasic!
Guest rikwebb Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 Update........ My mate has just purchased a new BMW with the bluetooth kit built in. His Nokia 6310i works fine with it, uses steering wheel controls and displays details on radio. Got him round here a couple of hours ago, and tried the e200........ BAD NEWS..... it finds the e200, and the e200 wants to make it the BT headset, but then it fails.... worse than the Parrot.... Oh well, could always give the e200 back and swap for a Nokia 6600. I wanted the e200 to work with BT car kit, laptop, ipaq and GPS, but it doesnt seem to want to work with any!!!! Rik
Guest rikwebb Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Well finaly got some info from Parrot regarding them making the CK3000 work with the e200. Not good, email below: Dear Sir, We have noticed some flaws in the Bluetooth implementation of the SPV E200. This problem is known by Orange people and unfortunately there is not much we can do on the CK3000 side until the SPV E200 software is fixed. Unfortunately there is no way to download the phonebook from the SPV E200.
