NOOB HELP NEEDED WITH UNLOCKED SPV PLEASE

HI THERE I HAVE JUST RECIEVED A NETWORK UNLOCKED SPV IT REGISTERS MY VODAFONE SIM AND I CAN SEND AND RECIEVE MESSAGES ON IT HOWEVER I CANNOT DIAL OUT AND I CANNOT DIAL TO IT FROM ANOTHER PHONE IF ANYONE CAN HELP I'D MUCH APPRECIATE IT PERHAPS IT'S SOMETHING IO HAVE OVERLOOKED SOMEWHERE IN THE SETTING I DON'T KNOW

What happens when you try to dial? also how old is your SIM card?

hello thanks for replying when i dial out or ring the phone it tries for a couple of secs then hangs up. as to the age of the sim card it must be about 3 years old now

I'm not a SIM expert but it has been posted that old SIM cards can cause problems.

I don't know if our resident network guru martin is about later? he may have a idea for you other than request an updated SIM :?

hello thanks for taking the time to help me out i have found what the problem is the phone is black listed by orange i gave them the imei number and thats what thy told me. many thanks

Interesting that you can still send SMS though, normally you would not

be able to and it would not show the network on the phone either :?

Sounds like you were ripped off (ebay I presume) hope you get your money back.

hello yes it was advertised on ebay but no mention of it being barred so i am in the process of contacting him and if he does'nt reply i'll go and get my money back thanks for your help
