Guest Myke Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 in the new version of Outlook, the contact form has an option to include a contact photo. Not only that but it resizes the image to a very small and compressed picture (slightly smaller than the default IA Caller ID photo..too small IMO). I'm wondering if they didnt choose this size so that they could have photos sync to smartphone contacts in the future? I thought maybe some of the Caller ID programs out there ought to use these photos to sync with their programs :!:outlook2003.jpg
Guest Taoski Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 yeah i noticed this too... hopefully this will sync across to my new E200 (when santa calls)
Guest stu_lowe2003 Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 it doesn't but hopefully someone will work out a way to. Stu
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 That would be cool... I wonder if you can change the size outlook stores? P
Guest Sarc Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 it doesn't but hopefully someone will work out a way to. Stu I'm guessing you were syncing with a SmartPhone 2002 device? Makes me wonder with the new Outlook being 2003, if SmartPhone 2003 would have this tie in. :? I guess we can hope. At the same time, those of use with 2002 devices are probably up a creak since the chances of the service providers releasing a update to 2003 appear to be slim.
Guest yoos Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 sounds like a good program for someone to write for the competition!
Guest blewer Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 I'm guessing you were syncing with a SmartPhone 2002 device? Stu has an E200

Guest Myke Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 "]That would be cool... I wonder if you can change the size outlook stores? P ive been lookin, but i dont see an option to make the picture bigger. I really do think the pic has to be a little bigger to be used on a smartphone. I dont know why it resizes it so tiny. not only that but it also compresses it semi signifigantly. HMMMmmm
