The current Orange World Access bundle offered in the UK is a GPRS data bundle and can be used for WAP browsing and/or WEB browsing dependant on what device(eg. a GD87 uses WAP, a SPV2 uses WEB), and/or for transport only (laptop/PDA - email/browsing).

The price are 4 pound (3MB included + 10SMS + 20MMS) and 6 pound (5 MB include + 10SMS + 20MMS + 5 video messages) for both the price outside the bundle for an extra megabyte is 2 pound.

Are people that are currently paying £4 upgraded to this service? I got something thru the mail but seem to have lost it -- I know it was something about gprs and something.

Cheers

So what's the point in paying £4 for 3MB GPRS tariff when you could pay £4 for 3MB + 10SMS + 20MMS? Are Orange World Tariffs a short term promotion or what?

I enquired as to whether it was just a short term promotion when i signed up and was told that it was a promotion but that it would probably become a permanent deal, although i'll reserve my judgement until i see this in writing! Posted from my SmartPhone!

It is indeed a promotion running until 31st march 2004. Once you connect to either of the Orange World Access packs, you will benefit from it for a period of 12 months (although you are free to come off it at any time by giving 5 days notice before your bill date). At the end of the 12 months you will lose the promotional messaging aspects of the packs, and revert to a standard GPRS bundle, charged at the prevailing rates at the time.

On the build your plan page it says:

Choose Orange World Access 3 or 5 for big savings on texts, photo messages, and wap, you'll also benefit from free access for a month.

Bit misleading...

Just remember the majority of customer use wap only and not full html access  We're only a very small percentage - and most of us who are in the small percentage of http'ers can figure out its for full http access to ;)
