Guest Mr Orange Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 The current Orange World Access bundle offered in the UK is a GPRS data bundle and can be used for WAP browsing and/or WEB browsing dependant on what device(eg. a GD87 uses WAP, a SPV2 uses WEB), and/or for transport only (laptop/PDA - email/browsing). The price are 4 pound (3MB included + 10SMS + 20MMS) and 6 pound (5 MB include + 10SMS + 20MMS + 5 video messages) for both the price outside the bundle for an extra megabyte is 2 pound.
Guest Mr Orange Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 Video messages? Yes, Video Messages. available on devices that support the feature.
Guest blewer Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 can be used for WAP browsing and/or WEB browsing Thanks Mr Orange for clearing up any confusion  Adam
Guest Spike Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 Are people that are currently paying £4 upgraded to this service? I got something thru the mail but seem to have lost it -- I know it was something about gprs and something. Cheers
Guest ajb3000 Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 So what's the point in paying £4 for 3MB GPRS tariff when you could pay £4 for 3MB + 10SMS + 20MMS? Are Orange World Tariffs a short term promotion or what?
Guest Brody Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 I enquired as to whether it was just a short term promotion when i signed up and was told that it was a promotion but that it would probably become a permanent deal, although i'll reserve my judgement until i see this in writing! Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest blewer Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 I was told it's a promotion that is running till March.
Guest ncoll Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 It is indeed a promotion running until 31st march 2004. Once you connect to either of the Orange World Access packs, you will benefit from it for a period of 12 months (although you are free to come off it at any time by giving 5 days notice before your bill date). At the end of the 12 months you will lose the promotional messaging aspects of the packs, and revert to a standard GPRS bundle, charged at the prevailing rates at the time.
Guest FragMeister Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 going onto OrangeWorld is also free for the first month!
Guest ajb3000 Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 On the build your plan page it says: Choose Orange World Access 3 or 5 for big savings on texts, photo messages, and wap, you'll also benefit from free access for a month. Bit misleading...
Guest amo Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 Just remember the majority of customer use wap only and not full html access  We're only a very small percentage - and most of us who are in the small percentage of http'ers can figure out its for full http access to ;)
