Guest jflanaga Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 :?: I recently got an SPV e100 and synched it with my PC. As I was used to using an iPaq I did not put any limit on the number of contacts and only limited my emails to one week. THis resulted in over 2500 contacts and 100 emails being synched and guess what - now my phone is low on memory (DOH!) Does anyone have advice on how best to delete all my contacts in one go? Thanks John
Guest roke Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 errr... a hard reset would do the trick...
Guest mvsmith07 Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 Perhaps before doing a drastic hard reset you might consider the procedure below. I've not actually done this myself, but in theory it should work. Make a copy of the contacts in Outlook in another folder in Outlook. Check your copy. Ensure you've got all the contacts you would expect to have in the copy. Delete ALL the contacts in the main Contacts folder. Now sync with your phone and all the contacts on there will be deleted as well. Change ActiveSync so it does not sync your contacts folder from Outlook and also change the time span for your emails. Copy the contacts from the temporary copy folder back into the main folder.
