Guest mr t Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 surely someone out there must be working on a smartphone app for bluejacking :?:
Guest amo Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 just read of one for the p900 and it looks very sweet! should be doable for the newer 2003 smartphones
Guest Myke Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 yeah we definatly need one once the 2003 devices start rolling out. it looks like fun
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 Yeh, i was reading the article over @ coolsmartphone - that kids started a movement lol. I can see it being alot of fun, however when people strt receiving "weird messages" on their phones they'll n doubt get all flustered and ithe way this countrys headed it'll soon become an offence to bluejack  spacecowboy
Guest drblow Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 surely someone out there must be working on a smartphone app for bluejacking :?: What's that??
Guest blewer Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 Sending messages via bluetooth to people near by. Have a look at www.coolsmartphone.com there is an article about it
Guest ajb3000 Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 eerr... why do you need an app? can't you just send contact from the phones menu as the article says?
Guest mr t Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 think unlimited txting for free. think free local instant messaging. obviously if you’re close enough to transmit via Bluetooth, you’re close enough to have a normal conversion. but it’s bound to be popular with ‘the kids’ :?: wouldn’t go down with the service operators to well
Guest mr t Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 What's that?? see http://www.bluejackq.com
Guest amo Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 Instant messaging, text messaging...whats the point - even if you're a kid - if your in the same room and withing ten metres of each other.
Guest mr t Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 even so, it seems to be taking off! see - BBC News and a custom app that makes in more user friendly is bound to be popular
Guest midnight Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 hehe, but seriously, who has bluetooth on discoverable (seriously dents battery life, and by default this is off)?, so, you need people within 10ft, they must have a bluetooth phone, and they must have it set to discoverable, and the only way of knowning is if they have a confused look on their faces?????? thats a lot of if's if you ask me, i really dont know why its such a big deal
Guest capt_janeway Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Sorry am I the only peson who thinks this is childish and frankly crap - hey if this is what you need to get our kicks then - GET A LIFE! End of rant
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Sorry am I the only peson who thinks this is childish and frankly crap - hey if this is what you need to get our kicks then - GET A LIFE! End of rant  Ouch ! hey its only a bit of fun - not doing anyone any harm  spacecowboy
Guest mr t Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Sorry am I the only peson who thinks this is childish and frankly crap - hey if this is what you need to get our kicks then - GET A LIFE! End of rant  A somewhat negative and unconstructive comment, but I do understand you point. ;) You’ve obviously not spent any length of time commuting on the London Underground recently. If you had, you’d have notice the ever-increasing number of ‘childish’ people engaging in this ‘crap’ activity.
Guest capt_janeway Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 I do get the tube everyday - 20 stops to be exact. I just think this is far too annoying and childish to be taken seriously. I mean photos taken by parents of some little snotty nosed ankle biter at Waterloo bluejacking - what a great example to set! Personally find other things more fun! Wasn't meant as a snidey swipe - just my opinion
Guest JHarte Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 I'd love for someone to develop something like this, but I'd probably primarily use it for sending contacts from my E200, and maybe only occationally use it for pissing off buisnessmen and posers.
Guest Spankth Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 You may not see the advantages but i do :) Since I'm still in school With this i am able to talk to mates accross the classroom Discretly And really you wouldent belive the amount of people who have Bluetooth on Discovorable.
