Guest midnight Posted November 14, 2003 Report Posted November 14, 2003 are you sure this isnt the pocket pc phone edition? Yakumo presented 2 pda's at CeBIT, the Omnicron (pocketpc phone edition), and the Epsilon (pocketpc, no phone). The Epsilon is also a pocketpc with a 400mhz processor and also features an integrated canera ;)
Guest midnight Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 I have found this little snippet of information from the Yakumo press info, and this does look more promising to be kind of smartphone...... Outlook Another letter from the Greek alphabet is appearing at Yakumo’s IFA booth in connection with a possible new product introduction. The Yakumo smartphone psi is an intelligent mobile phone with Triband functionality. If all plans go ahead the product will have a target price of under 500 euros. source: Yakumo
Guest midnight Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 and..... with a little more digging, the Yakumo PSI is a mitac Mio 8380  so, looks like the 8380 is coming to the german market (yes, Yakumo even though it sounds Japanese is actually German)
Guest kingdom master Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 ACTUALLY, It looks nothing like the mitac., check out the futurelook website:-)
Guest midnight Posted November 15, 2003 Report Posted November 15, 2003 are you talking about the Omicron (NOT a MS Smartphone, but a PocketPC phone edition), or the PSI (which is a mitac mio 8380, as shown on the Yakomu press release)????
Guest stevewright Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 http://msmobiles.com/news.php/2059.html £250 sim free from Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...6896520-4608438 Seems like basically the same core spec as XDA 1, but with camera. Bargainous.
