cheap gprs

hi there,, i notice there is a petition for flat rate gprs on this forum and lots of people are complaining that there grps is to expensive..

i have been with orange for years and have just changed my spv for a spv e100 (new contract) and i get 3 months free open access gprs (10mb per month) and after the 3 months are up i can stay on open access for £4 per month for the rest of the contract so thats £4 per month for 10mb per month which i think is seriously cheap...is this deal just available to new contract holders?? if so then surely there should be a petition for orange to treat longtime orange users with the same level of offers and great deals that they keep using to entice new users.. :!:

Not insulting, just one of the 'confusing' options available.

I believe you will find the 'open access pack' is for WAP over gprs, you will be charged for internet/non wap use.. so be carefull, contact orange customer services to confirm..

hey will thanks for that,, i would have got a nasty shock when my bill arrived :lol: after a LONG conversation with orange data support (34 minutes) heres how it works..

orange open access is indeed only intended for a wap over gprs connection to orange world which in my opinion is a load of rubbish anyways.. and i am currently been charged £3 per mb for using internet explorer to browse the web :x so after a heated discusion and oranges refusal to put me on a gprs bundle untill my free 3 months open access runs out i told them what a load of rubbish there promotions are and how badly they are misleading the public into thinking there getting a great deal when all there really getting is a load of useless rubbish ,(i mean whats the point in having a phone with the ability to browse the entire web when all you can use your free gprs for is to access orange world via wap over gprs :?: )

anyways after a bit of arguing and my promise to cancel my direct debit and refuse to pay my bill they agreed to remove the open access from my account and replace it with a gprs bundle which is better suited to my needs...

my bundle is £8 per month for 7mb and £2 for every mb over the 7

PS: maybe there should be a sticky or a petition with regards to oranges serious misrepresentation of there services and blatant misleading of there customers
