Reliability

Hello,

Im thinking about buying the QTEK 7070 however have come across some comments regarding its reliability, notably that the OS locks up now and then and that the phone itself locks up if in a low or no signal strength area requiring resets etc. I was hoping that someone who has one could tell me whether this is experienced regularly (Im buying the phone for my wife and our impending child and am keen to make sure its reliable for them in case of emergencies etc). I checked back through the forum and in January some contributors were complaining of a lack of reliability and were waiting for an upgrade to come out....did it?

any assistance appreciated,

thanks

Welcome to the site

a lot of things has happened since January with the phone being more reliable and having improved battery life etc but you will still have to charge the phone every two days or so.

The main question though is will you wife use the phone as a phone only, or for the added features Windows brings?

If she wants to play music, games, Internet, email, movies and calender etc to name a few things, then this is one od the best phones you can get ;)

Not to be cheeky but i have an i-mate for sale (the same as the QTEK 7070), look at the red writing im my signature! Its brand new and far cheaper than you could buy it from a shop! PM me or post an offer if you are interested

Thanks for the advice. One of our telcos here in Aust has decided to market the new 8080/imate/spv200/ starting in December on a flat rate gprs plan. Having read your write up of the new smartphone Im gonna hang out and buy it,

cheers,

Machellis
