Guest MachineAI Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 My SPV started crashing on the startup screen of the Analogue Longhorn M5 theme last night, stopping half-way down the screen, i.e.e not loading the date or time. So Ithought, aaah well, I can fix this with a hard reset. So I tried to hard reset it, and now I can't even get past the Orange sunset screen, it goes straight to 'enter PIN', but I can't press any buttons, and the battery symbol has an exclamation mark on it. . . Anyone got any ideas? :?: :!: :?: Also, when I'm hard reseting, there is no option to 'end', and pressing the '3' button on the screen to the left of the first one does . . nothing. At all. Please help, I'm without a phone ATM due to this, and I do use it a LOT!!! Thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 Ok you need to do a Hard Reset again, after you do this there is not an END option as this was removed back in April with the 1.3.5 update. All you have to do is press and hold the power button until the phone starts to reboot. If the hard reset does not work this time you may need to run the UK update again (available from www.monolithix.org ) and presuming you have an SPV? Also it's important to have the battery charged as a low battery level can cause the problems you are having.
Guest MachineAI Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 I Has wiped it, it just refuses to start!!! So I can't run the update, but I'll try charging the battery!!! Thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 If you can get to the bootloader you can run the update.
