Mitac Mio 8380 - 512mb SD or 256 SDMMC

Do anybody know if 512mb SD Card will work on the Mitac Mio 8380. Is the max size for SDMMC 256mb?

What the different between SD and SDMMC card? Which one is better?

I've been led to believe that the phones will handle whatever size you throw at them. 512 works...then probably the 1GB.

SD is more stable than MMC in the phones. Many MMC cards have been know to be incompatible. So go with the SD everytime.

i got a 512mb sandisk sd card in my mitac works a treat,

sd is 2x faster than mmc cards so if you watching full lenght feature films (bad boys 2 on mine!) it runs and loads slightly quicker, sd cards also have a little switch on them which you can move which can lock the content, so you cant accidently deleate files etc.

I have 512MB on my SD card... I thought it was not going to work until I copied files (like photo album, ect) from my 16MB MMC card over to the Blank 512MB SD card. Everything workds fine.
