Urgent help needed with SPV

My spv is stuck in headset mode and i cant get it working, ive sent the unit to HTC (which try to repair units here in the UK) and they have sent it back saying its water damaged, i dropped the phone a few months ago and the record button does not now work so no hard reset for me...................

any ideas? or has someone got a program i can run which will remove the headset profile???????

try blowing in the socket, or repeatedly inserting and removing the headset.. normally that works.. it is a hardware rather than a software fault. so no program will remove it.

sounds daft but blow on it lightly (where the headset connects)

there have been a few post and its strange bit true and does seem to work

The problem will possibly become worse and the only solution then is to have it repaired :lol:

cheers guys its tempremental it will all of a sudden come back on, HTC say it cant be fixed as they say its water damaged, so looks like ill be upgrading.

did HTC look at the phone before making this comprehensive diagnosis?

well i sent it to them and it came back after a few days i dont think they tried reseting it, because all of my s*** is still on there (progs, etc...)

just seen one on the same tariff as what ive got now for £49.99 so im going to order it and cancel this one, it means another new number but hell ive been quoted stupid amounts to upgrade.
