Guest The PocketTV Team Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 No-one know if it's a bug or a feature by design, but unlike all other Smartphones, the Motorola MPx200 from AT&T has security *entirely* disabled, i.e. it allows unsigned apps to use all the privileged APIs (including accessing the SIM, accessing the network using your account, accessing your private contacts and emails etc) that normally require the use of "privileged certificates" from the carriers. This is extensively described here: http://msmobiles.com/news.php/1640.html Microsoft official statement about this issue: http://msmobiles.com/news.php/1642.html Some newsgroup discussions about this: http://groups.google.com/groups?dq=&hl=en&...ne%26start%3D50 and http://groups.google.com/groups?dq=&hl=en&...ne%26start%3D25
