orange spv network unlock

can someone help please! Got an orange spv (UK) which I wish to unlock for use with a french sim card. Will the unlocking procedure on the orange developer website do this for me? or do I need to do it another way?

i couldnt get the orange unlock to work on my SPV, i used the I-Mate software instead as this will unlock the phone completely..

The orange developer website is for application unlocking. You need sim unlock :lol:

I tried running the sim unlock yesterday but the program seemed to take long time providing the code - in fact in never got past 0% on the ms dos screen - any idea how long it should take? or do I have a problem with the program.

To use the Sim unlock app you need to have a bootloader of V0.98 or below

and also have Win XP or 2k on your PC

hence it not working on my laptop which is running on windows 98? i presume!

But what if my bootloader is higher than 0.98 its 1.10.. What to do then...

Then you need to install an old bootloader and/or version on smartphone 2002

I know what you feel cause I had the same problem with my SPV.

After many days of struggle I found an excellent article in formum. Just type "unlocking" in Search and then go to

"Ultimate guide How to UNLOCK when spvunlock doesnt unlock."

This should help U. Remember to have canary screen and orange sim card when downgrading/upgrading OS and of course XP of W2k :))
