Sorry guys, please be gentle on me.

I've seen loads of deals for the MPX200 on Orange and they all look brilliant, but I've always been on Vodafone (10 years now ;)) and no one seems to be offering the MPX200 on the Vodafone network. Is this gonna be permenant? Or is it just slow as usual?

Thanks!

JOE

Alright mate!

im in the same boat ive been on vodafone for a few years. I ended up getting an orange spv and used this site for sim unlocking it and configuring gprs for vodafone. But now im on the mpx200 on orange and tyring to get it unlocked.

SO i suppose you could get a sim free handset and configure.

Or you can hold on a couple of weeks and purchase a mpx200 on vodafone from phones4u  check the link

Thanks for the link. Guess I'll have to hold out a couple more weeks then.

Btw, is it possible to update the Smartphone 2002 operating system to newer ones by ourselves later?

Not sure Mate! theres been alot of mix ups regarding the operating system for the fone. Its definatley 2002 at the mo, but the specs of it suggests it could be upgraded.

Then a again there is speculation about a mpx220 early next year round febuary march time (from what ive heard). Apparently moto have a new chip which is alot smaller than the existing chips in the mpx200. So it could host a camera without making it really bulky. This will be running 2003, and possibly bluetooth.

but i wouldnt rely on any dates. look how long its taken for mpx200 to be released.

Hmm, MPX220. Now that would be real nice!! But it'd be a real bummer if it came out shortly after me buying the MPX200. ;)

Oh well, I think I'll wait till Vodafone start selling it and then catch up on the MPX220's news/release date.

But then again, all this waiting will mean I'll never get one. Heehee.

Thanks again briggsie1!
