Guest kevlar Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 I've got my E200 on the way, should be here tomorrow. I've just installed an MSI Bluetooth dongle ready for it. Now I know you can sync with outlook through it instead of using the cradle, and you can use your pc's internet connection to surf the net through it. But what else can you do? Wouldn't it be cool to be able to access your pc through it and maybe even stream audio/video through it?. For istance can you get to mp3's stored on your pc and play them in e200's media player? How fast is bluetooth? is it fast enough to surf the net using your broadband connection just as if you were surfing on the pc itself? Thanks in advance Kevlar
Guest jtsaint Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 the maximum data rate of bluetooth is 723kbps so its quite fast enough for browsing the internet at broadband like speeds however this does depend upon how the software is implemented.
Guest MECX Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 that is well fast enough for an MP3 stream as well--again it will depend on the software
Guest kevlar Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 So is it possible to browse your pc's files from the spv via bluetooth? Kevlar
Guest jason8 Posted November 19, 2003 Report Posted November 19, 2003 yep, in theory you could, its just about find the correct software to do it...
