Qtek 7070 OS

Hi wondering what kind of OS uptades are avalible for the qtek 7070,

and wich one you guys use???

You can in essence use any ROM version for the SPV, E100, 7070.

Qtek's last ROM is the 1.50.9.1 which is excellent. You might also use the I-mate 1.50.8.6 ROM which is very much like the Qtek. Stay away from ROM's by SMART from the Phillipines though.

We are all waiting for the 1.61 ROM from Orange itself which fixes the problems with MSN messenger.. But there are some thinhs to consider before changing to this or any other ROm version.

Best thing you can do is read around in this forum, there is plenty to find about the various ROM versions, including links to download locations.

If you were to ask me, the Qtek 1.50.9.1 would be the best choice for now, however Qtek has admitted to being in the process of developing a 1.6 update, due in "a few weeks" .

It could if you put a Chinese ROM version on it.. (if there are any out there :?: )

The 1.50.9.1. does not have the chinese language build in.

i learned that qtek7070 in Hongkong can have the ability to deal with chinese.

i am searching that rom version and hoping get one copy.

folks, i did the smart update and now im stuck with a grey screen...any ideas on a fix? to make matters worse im here in america
