Events don't show up on home screen

Hi,

I have a small problem with my SPV which is beginning to annoy me.

If I set an all day event up, it doesn't appear on my home screen when it comes around to the day it's set for. If I switch my phone off and then re-boot it'll appear.

When the day is up the event won't disappear from the home screen unless I reboot the phone again.

It appears that the home screen is not updating the information or refreshing itself.

Anybody else had this problem or know how to fix it. It's doing my head in now because it's a basic function of the phone that simply doesn't do what it's supposed to.

can you show me a copy of the XML, is it the SPV (or E100) not the E200 ?

(different phones have different plugins)

I use an SPV original (sounds like a mint) running 1.3.5.6 which has the same behaviour. It does it on lots of homescreens. VERY annoying!

could this be an interaction between the all day event and teh calendar plugin ?

Can you take the calendar plugin off and see if you get teh same behaviour, I genuinely think it will be to do with data access ....

That means that my calender entries won't show up though doesn't it?

I've not removed the calender plugin but I just set an event for tomorrow and put the clock forward and it worked. Sometimes my calender entries don't appear too.

It's been like it for months, sometimes it works and sometime it doesn't but I've always used the same home screen.

Is a Hard Reset the answer?

I've seen this happen on the Moto MPx200 also. I think it's a flaw in the system and usually a reboot will take care of the issue. I've also seen it happen the other way, where my all day event showed, but no appts showed.
