Problem Unlocking SPV. mxip_oem_10.provxml doesn't exist!!!

Ok, I am getting extreemly frustrated. I got my SPV today (I am in the US), and it was supposed to be software unlocked. However, when I tried to install a file explorer, I couldn't do it. The error I was recieving is what is seen when the phone isn't unlocked.

So I looked at the article on how to unlock your phone. One problem, the mxip_oem_10.provxml file didn't exist! I couldn't find it anywhere! So after hours of browsing and reading the forums, I tried decerterv3 from this site. All looked like it was going well. I performed all the steps according to the program. When I tried to sync again, it gave me errors. Now, I can't even sync with Activesync!

What is going on? How do I fix this? Help me!!!

make sure your have set your folder options on ur computer 2 view hidden files. hope this helps

I have a new problem now. I found the file (by following the directions you posted, I finally found that is another post), and modified the file. I open the explore window. I hard reset the device. I connect it back to my computer. Activesync connects on the blue screen. My explore window NEVER connects back up with my device. Even after I setup a partnership and everything, it won't let me paste in it. I reads as if the device wasn't connected anymore. Any suggestions with this one?

Unfortunately you have been reading very old information :lol:

The method of unlocking you are talking about has not been usable since

the 1.3.5 update in April.

Click on OTA for information on how to decert the phone using the Orange developers site.

I went to the OTA site as well, and it didn't work. So it had me download the registry file, and that didn't work as well. They had me send them and email. What can I expect to happen now? Do they send me a program via email or what? Thanks for all your help. This is a great site, now if I can just get my phone to work!

Success is mine!!!!!! Thanks for the help. I ended up using the passthrough option. I think the problem was that my work network wasn't allowing the passthrough connection properly, but now that I am at home, it worked!!!! Thanks a lot.

remember to install apps to the storage card to save space on the phone.
