Guest kernowmagic Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 does it cost you to surf the net? and does it cost you to run say msn messenger in the backround?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 Web surfing and MSN Messenger both require to to subscribe to data services such as GPRS (for GSM Phones) or 1xRTT (for CDMA Phones). There is an extra charge for data which can be a flat monthly fee or per megabyte...depending on your Carrier. There is also the option to use dial-up services using your own ISP which would use your phone minutes. Your data connection would be at a much slower speed with this option. Check with your carrier to see which plans are available for you.
