Guest Simon Desser Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 I know that on E100's with the 1.6 ROM you can store ringtones on your SD card, but I can't see how to do it on the E200? ;) Anyone know if it's possible? (WMA's work which is nice  ) Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest shrubby Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 I phoned up O Data support for this, and they said that you can't store ringtones on the sd card (unless of course you edit the registry). But what I noticed (Not sure if its of any relevance) is that in the registry under ringtone0 (or any sounds as it happens) the full path of the ringtone is displayed ie 'StorageApplication DataSoundsRingtone.wav. This made me think that the locations of the ringtones could be changed via the UI. Where as on the E100 it just said 'Ringtone.wav' and didn't give a full path, indicating to me that the ringtone location was set and couldn't be changed Does this make any sense, or am I just talking crap?
Guest v1nn1e Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 I just looked at ringtone0 in registry and it displays full path to the ringtone on my original spv. Assuming it will be the same for the e100. E200 allow wma as ringtones does it not? 30 sec of a wma song does not take up much space.
