Just thought that i would let you guys know, that if you try hard enough with O you WILL get somewhere.

just got off the phone to OCS about my SPV needing to be replaced (this would have been the fourth one) or the possibility of an upgrade.

i was told that "as my contract isn't finished 'till December 30" i would have to pay around £200.

Now this is where i pulled my "if you can't help, i'll leave" card.

was put through to the relevant department,

spoke to the guys there for about 5 mins.

I now have an E200 on its way, and the best thing is that i had to pay a grand total of £0. Thankyou Orange!!!!!!!

It just shows that you can get exactly what you want from O if you keep trying

Just took your advice and called O.

My contract ends on 30th Dec so i gave them the " I've seen it for free on tinternet" they put me hold for about 3 mins then offered me a free upgrade + aload of free minuets,picture messages and texts,wap & GPRS (not sure how many I kindalost interest when they free phone) :lol:

Then called my mate up and told him... :( He's just paid £100 to upgrade from t68i to E100 AND HAD TO SELL THAT.

Just got my FREE E200, And its Grrrrreeeeaaaat!!!!

I complained because OCS put the phone down on me when. I asked to Upgrade and he said it wasn’t available till after Xmas I corrected him on the matter and he got the hump (What a MUG)

But he done me a favour so fair play :lol:

And I had 3 months left on my contract

On E50 got insurance n gprs bundle n text bundle (basic £21 b4 calls) and normal £27-30 bill. Getting annoyed

I'll chime in with my story. I have 6 months left to run on my talk anytime 400 contract. been with orange for 4 years, average bill £97. they were totally not moving on an offer of £199.99 for phone and upgrade. i threatened to leave, they said sorry to lose you.

next i went to retention dept on the recommendation of AMO(ta) same story, until i tried one last time. said i'd drop tarriff to minimum £15 a month and start a new contract/number via web based company.

this costs £90 to buy out old contract (6months at £15) and £20 for new one. you get 2000 texts to tell everyone your new no. and phone for £20. total £110.

eventually got thru to a very nice lady who said she could do just the handset cost as i was a good customer. so got it for £99.99

it really does seem to depend who you talk to. keep trying and threaten to leave, have lots of sums ready to compare and argue with. keep calm and be polite.

that said my sodding phone i worked so hard to get didn't turn up today. got to wait till monday now. :roll:

This is too annoying!! I've tried 3 different times with O, with 3 different approaches - & every time they just say 'sorry m8, nothing we can do to help'. :evil:

Phone 150, go to bill enquiry, then thinking of leaving orange.

When aswering say you are thinking of cancelling your contract and you would like to know how to go about it and when does it end. They will ask you why, just say you want a E200 and it seems very expensive on upgrade and cheap on a new contract.

I done this and within 5 secs a £49.99 upgrade was mine :lol:

contract ends in dec and average bill is about £41

I didnt even threaten to leave.

Well we have have multiple phones on our contract and after a couple of phone calls and a very well constructed moan... they still charged us £199.... but they did credit the account with £50.
