How to replace the start-up/shutdown sound of your SAP.

1. You should have a registry editor.

PHM Regedit was one of them.

2. You should have a wav file you want to use as your startup sound.

(PCM Wav format - uncompressed)

3. Open regedit

> HLKEY_CURRENT_USER

> ControlPanel

> Sounds

> Shutdown (for your shutdown sound) > SystemStart (for Startup)

4. Click "Value" from your softkey. then edit the Value data.

ex. IPSMMy DocumentsSoundsstartup.wav - where "startup.wav"

refers to your existing wav file located at your IPSM, you can also use

a sound file from your Storage Card.

note: this is case sensitive.

5. You're done! Be careful when using regedit, you can accidentally edit

some vulnerable value on registry and it will turn your phone into junk.

regedit.Stngr_ARM.cab

i hav tried using d screenchanger but al i get s a white screen. any ader alternatives i can use 2 change d startup and shutdown screens???

That's odd... It works like charme here..

All the program does is alter a few registry entries, perhaps Smart have locked registry parts :?: Anybody out there know ?

In the mean time I will try to figure out which registrykeys are responsible for te startup and shutdown screens.. Could take a little while, I'm at work right now.

i have to correct you on one thing though.the .wav file should be in the IPSM only and not in the storage card.the phone has no way of reading the sd card while booting up.hope this helps. :lol:

kulang na lang s startup n shutdown sounds. yung binigay kc d2 sa thread n2 medyo complicated, pwede paki-explain ng mas detalyado....tnx

habang tumatagal, am lovin my SAPSAP..hehehe wala pa nga ako SD card, wat will happen kya pag nagkaroon na ako ng SD card,hehehe bka may mga generous SAPPERS dyan na pwede magpahiram ng SD nila..hehehe :wink:
