Mr. Orange - can you actually give us any information on the 1.6 update?

This forum has been filled with discussion on the forthcoming update. The moderators have had a test version for some weeks now, & the discussions on the forum were clearly designed to let Orange users know that the update was on it's way. There have been several realease dates mentioned (aswell as the Orange website itslef telling us mid-november).

Considering the amount of disatisfaction being expressed, don't you think it's time we had some kind of official comment on this topic??

This has already been answered by Mr. Orange here.

Yeah, I saw that. Didn't really think that was much of a response to the amount of comments being made about 1.6.

I was kind of looking for Mr. O to give us some real info on the build & release dates. The original post from Mr. O about the build was October 21st - when it was stated by several people within the first few posts that the expected release date was mid-november.

I just thought at this stage of the proceedings, an official comment (even one that just says "sorry for the delay ... here's why ... here's an expected release ...") would have been appropriate. Considering that another thread (here) has suggested mass emailing of Orange CS to complain about the lack of action on this subject.

People are clearly feeling very let down by Orange over this issue, & the complete lack of official information only serves to exacerbate the situation.

As soon as I have a clear date on the release of 1.6 you'll be the first to know. As I have alreasy said I'm going to Taiwan on monday to get an update on the official release date. This is dependant on the build passing both internal tests as well as Microsofts official tests (NSTL).

I just can't believe this!!

A topic raised YESTERDAY - a daft, unfounded rumour about the e200 - which is responded to & quashed by official Orange sources within 24 HOURS, and yet the 1.6 update, the MOST HIGHLY DEBATED TOPIC ON MODACO IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS, still gets no response. & yet as we all know ...

Obviously, we are continually updating and improving on our products, so keep up the feedback.

I mean, come on, like! Where is the love, y'all??

I give up about this, I really do ... I'm just irritating myself now going on & on & on ...

Mr O is very selective in which questions he answers - he just doesn't like being wrong.

Actually, thinking about this what you need to do is set up a sensationalist website about Smartphones, generally be completely sycophantic and arse-licking about all things Microsoft, and post 'ORANGE SAY THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER UPDATES FOR SPV'.

 ;) :(

Actaully, it's funny really, considering the amount of slagging going on, that there is still silence ...

Oh, hang on, I said I wasn't going to talk about it anymore ... :)
