Guest cleandemon Posted November 23, 2003 Report Posted November 23, 2003 I've been using Photo Contacts purely to display a contact's picture when they call, rather than for the dial from picture function (which is too fiddly to bother with). However, now I've done the registry tweak to enable custom ringtones for each contact to be located on the SD card and have encountered a problem in that any contact with a picture assigned plays the default ringtone. I've tried putting the pics and the wav files in the same folder but the problem persists. I think that one of the other applications like Caller ID allows a pic to be shown and a custom ringtone to play, but I like the fullscreen pic that Photo Contacts displays so I would like to keep using it if possible. Any help would be appreciated.
Guest NederSoren Posted November 23, 2003 Report Posted November 23, 2003 Could be a memory problem? How big are you're custom ringtones? /Neder
Guest cleandemon Posted November 23, 2003 Report Posted November 23, 2003 They're rather big, but the default ringtone is also a wav file stored on the sd card and it plays that fine while displaying the pic.

Guest cleandemon Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 The one mentioned here I've also had a look at the size of my ringtones compared to those posted by Simon Desser in the Customization Forum and they're of a comparable size to his so I don't know if this would be a problem.
Guest sinner Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 i am also having the same problem... although i am using smartICU. When smartICU is installed then it will only play the default ringtone, but when i remove SmartICU the custom ring tone will play. So could this just be a problem with the program and only the author can change?
