Yep i've lost mine as well! It was a bit wierd that they gave you a cover for that really I thought as its the kind of connection thats going to be constantly made and then disconnected. I'm definitely very impressed about the SD card and headphone socket covers though

Mine didn't come with te USB port cover. I got the Orange shop where I was buying it from to charge it up overnight for me. They very kindly stopped me worrying over whether I would be able to keep hold of it for long by pre-loosing it for me.

Does the USB sync cradle charge as well??

For the MPX yes :)

Cool, but does using the cradle require a longer charging time or does it produce the same amount of power as the A/C adaptor?

*EDIT: I'm charging the phone now, but I don't like the fact that you can't take out the SD card while it's charging. A bit annoying. :D And I don't understand why it doesn't allow you to switch the phone off/on while it's in the cradle.

i think its the same, since you do plug in the cradle with either the usb or the a/c adapter.

in the case of the bit of plastic, i can sell mine too. I have 2 extras from the time i forgot to give it back when trading it for a new one :) (it is pretty small and hard to know where you put it)

i dont know about this, but...if i cover it with the piece of plastic when its not charging, does it lengthen the battery life? (i.e. does power leak when uncovered?)

power wont leak out of the socket, unless your shorting the terminals with a piece of metal. I must admit, dont quite understand why they designed these covers in plastic... After a few weeks the cover for the headphone socket broke off.. why didnt they use rubber!!! weird.

Yes I lost my connection cover the first day I had it, I bought the car charger took off the cover and never seen it since LOL! I bet it somewhere in my truck on the floor, or maybe the cat ate it.

The USB cradle has a handy half circle at the back. My USB/Charger cover sits in there, probably covered in dust by now.

I blue tacked the cradle to my PC table so it doesnt move around.

I dont bother putting that plastic bit in, probably fall out sooner or later.

The charger is a bit of a waste of time unless you didnt have a PC. Then you probably wouldnt have bought a smartphone anyway. Doh!

I don't think that little cover is needed anyway. It's just a bonus for when you want to store your phone away when you don't use it anymore imo. All my past phones have neber had covers and have been fine and dandy. I think Motorola has just included it anyway. No harm in giving something extra. :) I've put it back in the box in a little sealed plastic bag so hopefully it won't get lost.
