Unlocking SPV Through Orange Developers Site - New Post For

Some of you may have had problems recently unlocking your SPV through the Orange site.

This Process is designed to help you.

1) check that your time out (Programs>settings>data connections) is set to its MAXIMUM.

2) Connect to the Orange developers site (http://www.developers.orange.com/WorkingWithOrange/SPV/Unlocking/)

through your hanset.

3) Fill in the correct details (IMEI and MS Number including prefix (+44 for uk))

***The phone comes as standard with a 60 Second timeout. It takes longer than this to get a response for the unlock site.

This is why the phone drops the GPRS call during the unlocking procedure.***

That's cleared that one up but can you clarify whether there should be a space between the prefix and handset number. :?: I think this has baffled some.

For an example I will use 07786611100 which is a disused Orange number

You should put +447786611100

All you are doing is removing the "0" at the begining and replacing it with +44 (For UK) Other country prefixes will be different.
