Guest solo Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 I have set my phone on the Normal profile. My Normal profile is set to vibrate then ring. The phone is almost always keypad locked. I have a number of wav files defined as the ring tone (either as default or attached to a contact in the address book). Sometimes the phone will vibrate for a second or two, but instead of playing the ringtone, it might auto answer. I have missed a couple of calls now because I did not notice the short vibration. I can't find any mention of auto answer on this phone. Have I missed something? Cheers, Solo
Guest deanrh Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 there is an any key answer facility within the phone. Buttons might be pressed when the phone is in ur pocket. The setting is in Settings>Telephony>call Options Hope this helps. dean
Guest solo Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 That's what I first thought, but after checking, the 'Any key Answer' feature is definitely unchecked. Additionally the phone is keypad locked when this problem occurs. I usually keep the phone in that black hard case, clipped to my belt, so it is possible that keys could be being accidentally pressed, but surely the key pad lock and disabled Any Key Answer should ensure the phone isn't being accidentally answered. Any other ideas? Thanks, Solo
Guest blewer Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 There is a known bug that if your phone is ringing and you receive a text message at the same time your phone will answer itself. Strange but true......... Did you notice when this happened that you had received a SMS? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest solo Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 It is possible, but I don't know for sure. I'll check that out the next time this happens. Cheers, Solo
