New Smartphones...

Hi,

Any new smartphones coming out that have higher cpu power then the SPV 100 (which is 133 or so)?

The only one I could fing was this one - http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/dev...rtphone;emea;62

- and that still only had 16 mb ram.

well my quesiton is. any smartphone (no pda pls) with this features.

Processor: 200 or more

Ram: 32 or more

Rom: 32 or more

Not currently but they should start arriving with those kind of specs early next year. I believe the Motorola MPX220 which is scheduled for release in the first half of next year will have a similar spec to the one you have mentioned.

I may be completely wrong, but I thought the Mitac Mio ran at 200MHz?

Actually you are completely right! I totally forgot about the Mitac I have to admit. I wonder if / when it will appear on UK shores?

the Xphone from O2, which will be available here in Asia but not here in the philippines, will have the same specs as the E200 except that it have 64 mb flash and 32 mb RAM. not sure if they got it backwards.

The O2 XPhone is just the HTC Voyager isn't it, licensed for release by O2 in Asia only?

The power requirements for a 133Mhz processor seem to be too great for Voyager at the moment, so a bigger processor would mean a physically bigger and heavier battery, and if the phone gets any bigger than Voyager people will start complaining that you might as well just go out an buy a PocketPC. :lol:

Besides as with processor history, the performance of a 200Mhz processor as opposed to a 133Mhz will not give the same performance leap the way simply including addition RAM has in the current phones.
