Guest pmchoc Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Hi all Iv'e run my E200 through two full discharge cycles now and find that the battery still only lasts about 24 hours. Yesterday it was fully charged at 8am then used all day (just mainly as a phone!) and it woke me this morning at 6:40 with the battery low beep. This is not even as good as my old SPV! Is this normal...will it get better? Pete
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I have heard that the battery life is pretty poor  One thing never to do though is totally discharge the battery as you can damage it. Li-on batteries are not like Ni-Cd and have a much less pronounced memoryloss but unike Ni-Cd they do not like being fully discharged.
Guest Simon Desser Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Iv'e run my E200 through two full discharge cycles now and find that the battery still only lasts about 24 hours. Mines only lasting about 14 hours  (I think it's gonna have to go back  )
Guest smartiemcr Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I totally agree -I've had my E200 for a few days now and the battery life is pretty pathetic. Even without using GPRS or Bluetooth it struggles to make more than 24 hours -a far cry from the 3 days quoted by Orange! I really love this phone but if the battery life doesn't improve I too might have to send it back
Guest pmchoc Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Bugger! I thought that I might have just got a duff one! Suppose I'll have to take the charger everywhere I go then! Pete
Guest SiDHEaD Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Sounds about the same as my E100 then!! Are you often in a weak signal area?
Guest Dectomax Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Well, I did a simple test. Fully charged at 7.15 this morning. I set the screen saver to swicth the screen off, my phone has sat all day NOT TOUCHED it, no calls nothing. The screen has been off, I unattached GPRS so the 'G' symbol went off. It is now 5.35 and the bloody thing has used 1/3 rd of it's power. That is rediculous. Come 7.15 tomorrow morning it will be half gone - maybe more. That gives a MAXIMUM of two days standby without touching the phone. Very Dissapointed.
Guest jscotl Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 I've only given the fone 2 charges so far & I'm thinking that after a day's use it does appear a bit lacking  Today, I drove for a couple of hours with my Bluetooth headset on; I did have a 50min call & then a few short ones throughout the day. Guess I had around 2 hrs of calls & the Battery Warning appeared before I got home  I'm hoping that this performance will improve once th battery has received further charges.... Fingers crossed
