Guest Emad Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Finally got my mpx200 from osps today (I've been at uni and it was at home - they had prompt delivery) and have unlocked it and played with it all morning - fab piece of kit.. Aaand.. MSN Messenger works fine, as does the character count for SMS's in every situation I've tried 8) DoomSPV actually runs at normal speed and it hasn't crashed as yet  Well chuffed. On point of curiousity - does anyone know what the little icon of a man with a telephone next to him next to the batter indicator is all about?
Guest alphaflux Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 As you install more apps, the "systray" (black bar along the top) fills up with loads of different little icons. The little man with the phone next to it is the icon for Caller ID, and just shows that the application is running. If there are problems with the app, it puts an X in the middle of the man.
Guest willo Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Emad, this might sound incredibly stupid but how did you get the character counter?? Its one of those little things that is incredibly useful.
Guest Bunchie Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Hmmm well as far as i'm aware it just appears when you are writing a text message. Its certainly there as standard on my unit. Is it not there when you are writing an SMS?
Guest Emad Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 It's not there for the SPV or the SPV e100 I believe - patchy on some other builds too The about page: Radio 1.00 Operator 1.0.22.64 Manufacturer 1.0.22.64 Microsoft 3.0.13258 Language 1.0.22.64 File System 3.0.13258.0
Guest willo Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Thats really weird, I don't have the counter when I write an SMS and my about page is the same as yours. I don't think its hidden under any menus as I have checked those. Have any other mpx owners come across this??
Guest Emad Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 It only pops up if you enter a phone number or select a contact phone number in the to section - try that
Guest willo Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Okay, just noticed it. You have to put a contact in before the counter comes up. Cool. Cheers Emad.
Guest jmechan Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Quick question for ya...is DoomSPV signed? If not, how did you get yours de-app-certed...? Cheers, Jon
Guest Bunchie Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 No DoomSPV is not signed so you will need to de-cert your phone. Please see this post for instructions on how to do this: http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=97152
Guest jmechan Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Apologies all...should have been reading the forum in date order, then I wouldn't have asked that stoopid question. Cheers, Jon
Guest kaseho Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Anyone out there HEEELLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been using my MPX200 for the last four months. The latest problem I have is that all my SMS have been marked unread, but my main home screen still shows SMS(1) as the UnreadSMS counter. Does anyone out there know how to fix this problem? Tks
Guest mfioble Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Got the same issue as well. I've just been ignoring it but it would be nice to get the count back to 0.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Not exactly the right post for your problems :) Just click on Phantom SMS for the fix to your problem
Guest kaseho Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 it's ok solved my problem, I just did a Master Reset to the phone and it is fine now...
