Guest Panja Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Hey guys, Going to get my SPV e200 as soon as it get released here in Holland. I have a little question about the SD Card. I'm ordered a SanDisk 256mb SD Card. I heard from a few people that it is not the best card to have, has some issues with the SPV (e200). Is this true? Can someone please light this up for me? Thanks Panja
Guest JampoTT Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I moved the Sandisk card from my original SPV into my E200 with no problems. Its a 256mb one.....
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I use a Sandisk 256 with no probs at all  P
Guest Panja Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 That's really good news guys!! Thanks
Guest Sackgesicht Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Hi, be happy, to own the best card. SanDisk was the inventor of the CF-cards; and co-developer for the SD-cards. All other manufactorers pays fees to SanDisk..... This manufactorer stands for the guarantee to produce a 100% full specifications. And all SanDisk cards works on Phones. Greets Sackgesicht
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Yeh, this is THE best SD card out there. Sometimes people will tell you the phone doesnt recognise the card - i had no problem withi t in my SPV and no probs in the E-200 either
Guest smeg36 Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I don't know about Smartphone (I am using a Kingston SD in mine), but with Pocket PC's Sandisk is the worst card. I had a Sandisk 256MB SD, and it would reformat itself several times a month. Is Sandisk really the best? I may just be bias because of my experiance, along with many others with Dell Axim's who have had multiple problems with Sandisk.
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I've been using the SanDisk 256 for two months on my SPV E100, no probs with the card at all
Guest James Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 nope, never had any problems with them... except them popping out when i drop the phone, on my third card. but thats a design problem of the phone, not the card.
Guest JabbaTheSlut Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 i too have a PDA, and it reformats itself, but the cards dead now, i will prob only buy panasonic in the future, if i get another SD card, i'm looking at the P900, and i`m very tempted, but thats anotehr topic entirely!
Guest Matt Kirby Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I also use a SanDisk 256 mb in my SPV - and I also have had no probs. too mode>
Guest Bunchie Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 I can also vouch for the Sandisk 256mb cards. Bought mine of Ebay a while back and not had any problems with them at all.
Guest 4runner Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 hmmm Bit of of a recurring theme here, sandisk work insmartphones but not in PDAs 4runner
Guest Brody Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Hehe, to add to this, i use a 256 meg Sandisk card and my only problem has been dirty contacts.
Guest smeg36 Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 This makes me wish I would have kept the Sandisk card I had! I got a very crappy trade out of it, a Pocketop IR keyboard, which I have seen go on ebay for less than $20. I had no use for it, so it seemed like a good deal. Not anymore!
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Im using 512Mb SD SanDisk. No problem at all. :lol:/
Guest legalbeagle Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 I have three Sandisk 256MB cards - work fine in phone and also in my digicam. Have seen problems with one of my cards in a Tungsten, though - may have been the user of the Tungsten!
Guest PritenC Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 does the sandisk Ultra II 256Mb SD card work in the oroginal SPV? I've read somewhere on this forum that it works in the E200, but I have the SPV and considering getting a new card.
Guest blackhorse Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 This makes me wish I would have kept the Sandisk card I had! Not anymore! as far as im aware Sandisk offer a very good waranty with all their products, if it should ever fail they just ask you send it in to them and they send out a brand new one? Had a 128mb compact flash about 1.5 years it packed in and wouldnt register in anything whilst i was travelling in canda :). I sent it into them and by the time i had returned to england there was a brand new one waiting for me.
Guest Jasonkruys Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 Nice to hear, as I have a 256mb one on its way from ebuyer :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 It was early this year that a dodgy batch of cards were released, hopefully these have dissappeared now.

Guest bleugh Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 bought a 256 sandisk, it doesnt work :-( allows me to create folders on active sync, but no files can be transferred and yes, the lock is off
Guest sparkisgti Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 sandisk 512mb from ebuyer.. 70.08inc vat with free delivery
Guest rcperez Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 Try Sandisk Ultra II, i myself have a 512mb sandisk with no problems what so ever. Ultra II is much faster then conventional SD, I/O wise. Normally my SD is unaccessible after 45% power is left, now its reaching 15% and still accessible. Hooray for Sandisk. I'm using orange 1.6 if your wondering :D
