Greetings,

Can someone tell me how they are being charged for there data connection using the mpx200 on T-Mobile? If you surf the net or use MSN Messenger - how does the unlimited internet service apply and are you using up your air time too?

-thanks-

Hi and welcome to the site,

Are you talking T-Mobile UK or T-Mobile USA (or T-Mobile anywhere else for that matter)?

For T-Mobile in the USA, the unlimited internet is $20/month (with a $30 or more plan), and that covers any data connection you may have, be it viewing web pages, instant messaging, getting email, etc. It doesn't use up any of your minuets, it is unlimited!

A pretty sweet plan actually. I am going to be signing up for it on Fri. If your credit isn't good (mine is non-existent, neither good or bad) you can't get this plan though. It really doesn't make sense to me. I could have ordered the Sidekick unlimited internet plan for $20, but not just the regular unlimited internet plan. That is why I have to wait until Fri., so I can have someone with better credit co-sign my account.

I have, however, tried out my Uncle's PPC Phone with the T-Mobile unlimited internet, and it works great.

Thanks!!!

-I'm in the US- but the UK / Asia seems to have all the cool toys!!!

I was really starting to worry that I was gonna have to pay an arm and a leg for the data. I'm still looking into getting a motorola mpx200 without a contract, but i'm sort of tempted to buy a development phone from MS since it's 2003. - Any thoughts on this - I did ask before about the 2002 version, but since 2003 is now out what are your thoughts?

-thanks again

just a note: I have the unlimited us t-mobile. I set up my attglobal email on the t-mobile site and now I can send email from the account as well as receive. Recieve worked even after the switch from ATT but send did not. Everything is just very nice with this phone and t-mobile.

Now the number move - we shall see.

A note about my earlier post: T-Mobile wouldn't let me get the $20 unlimited plan, so I got the T-Zones $5 unlimited plan and it allows me full access to the web! I guess it is because T-Mobile doesn't support smartphones, so they aren't blocking us from using T-Zones as a portal for the web. I have found no problems with this setup in the past week of using it. Give it a try.

Almost full access -- you get SMTP/HTML/POP3 and IMAP. No SSL though, so don't surf to any protected sites.

Just thougth I'd mention that in case someone thinks the t-zones plan is the exact same thing as the Internet plan.
