Guest StarfireCT Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 I saw this on another forum and it died there but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem... I think I might have it. When I use a hands free kit with this phone, I seem to lose the call after a few minutes. While coverage in my area tends to be tempermental, when I lose a call, I check the signal and it always has at least 2 bars - sometimes it has full coverage - so I don't know that it's a signal issue. The caller on the other side of the conversation also claims to have good coverage when the call dropped. It seems that when I don't use the hands free kit that it keeps it's call going fine. Of course given the nature of cell phones (and that I usually call cell to cell) it's hard to blame any one thing, but I find it odd that it works so well without the hands free kit and so poorly with it. My phone is unlocked and is running on T-Mobile in the US (1900). Anyone else seen a problem with a long phone call using the mono or stereo headset?
Guest ixtab Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 Hi, Yes! I was having the same problem only with the stereo ones that came with the phone. I actually "upgraded" the firmware to the new Motorola one (non branded) and then it all started I think. But I know now 100% that my calls drop all the time (can happen 3-4 times during a 15 minutes call) with the stereo set. While I use the mono one it's all fine, just that the microphone there (mono) is so bad that you have to keep it VERY close for the other party to hear you... Very annoying, did anyone find a solution/workaround? Ix.
