Guest chocobogo Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 I ordered my SPVe200 off onestop phone shop last week and it got delivered to my home address as that was the address on the card, I have then got my brother to send it up to my other address. I chose the phone on the YourPlan 300 tariff, and the phone cost £34.99 and the tariff is £30 a month. After ordering I noticed that I could have got the phone on the YourPlan 200 tariff for exactly the same price. I know I can send the phone back in my cooling off period but I have left it a bit late now and I have already spent a lot on postage and don’t want to go through the hassle of sending it back and ordering a new one. On 1SPH's terms and conditions, they state "Failure to adhere to this will render you liable for the difference in cost between the purchase price and the price the phone would have been had you bought it on the tariff you switched to." "Please note that should you change your contract during the period outlined above (4 months) from your date of connection, either up or down, the "first period" starts again. We strongly recommend that you do not change your tariff within this period" So does this mean that if I switch to the YourPlan 200 contract I will be liable for the difference which is £0.00?? Thanks for any advice

Guest sponge Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 So does this mean that if I switch to the YourPlan 200 contract I will be liable for the difference which is £0.00?? I think you could argue exactly that. So stick to your guns when you call them.
Guest Emad Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 Erm. Your Plan 300 and Your Plan 200 are the same monthly contract price I believe? Your Plan 200 is anytime, anywhere, 300 is anytime, orange and landlines. You should be able to change to an equivalently priced tariff, but certainly not a lower priced one.
