Guest coreymcl Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 I can not get this ringtone to work on my SPV-E200. I have tried to resave it using the Sound Recorder in XP but I still can not see it. Can you help Well it won't let me upload it
Guest Brody Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Zip up the file and then try uploading it...
Guest coreymcl Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Ok here are the 4 ringtones I am trying to get working on my SPV-E200.Indiana Jones Theme.zip
Guest Brody Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 having tested your Benny Hill clip (!) it works fine on my E200, have you copied the files to StorageApplication DataSounds? Thats where they need to be...
Guest coreymcl Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Sorry to have wasted your time. It helps when you put them in the right spot! Thanks again
Guest Simon Desser Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 The Star Trek one is in the wrong format (here it is as a PCM Wav) the others look ok, although there's no need for them to be stereo for a ringtone.Star_Trek.zip
Guest Brody Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Hehe, time not wasted, its all part of learning the phone! We all make mistakes! Glad to be of help!
Guest coreymcl Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Can you look at the Star Trek wav. That's the only one that is not working. If you can tell me what I am doing wrong I would be gatefule.

Guest mavisdavis Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 ;) On the note of ringtones on the E200 without starting another thread. I thought I'd read somewhere that it is possible to store tones on the SD Card... Please tell me this is so.. Cheers all.
Guest Brody Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Guess what? It seems to have been left out as far as i am aware
Guest mavisdavis Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Why Oh why does that not surprise me. I had tried tho by placing a Sounds folder everywhere on the SD Card but to no avail

I've already converted the Star Trek one for you  It was in the wrong format, the file needs to be saved as a "PCM wav" file, others "wav" files such as ACM use mp3 type compression which the phones can't play.
