1.6 new features confirmation?

Hi, i know that the answer to this will be on this forum somewere but i can't find it anywere..

my only question is

after installing the 1.6 update(when it finally arrives) will i be able to use ringtones and homescreens direct from the sd card??

im sure i have seen this mentioned somwere on this forum,,can 1 of the update testers please confirm?

Yes it is possible for ring tones and Yes for single image backgrounds

but not multiple screens as they need to be installed.

ah so .hme files will still need to be installed to the phone memory?
