Guest JHarte Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 I know that smartphones with 2002 OS's on them cant use SDIO cards, but has anyone tried using a WiFi card with their E200 to connect it to a network? Please tell me, I'd much rather use my uni's broadband connection than pay for GPRS! My computing lab is across the road from the union, so it might even reach there!? Hmmm... I could be the champion of pub quizzes with my E200, a wi-fi card and Mr Google! But seriously, is it possible?
Guest frazzel Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 i hope so could be very usefull, lets all pray together now

Guest Maverick Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 All the Wifi SDIO card manufacturers are just too lazy to make drivers for smartphone :-(. Hopefully when the volume of smartphones sold increases, these people will wake up ;-)
Guest zeta101 Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 I was reading somewhere (T3 i think) that Sandisk are releasing a SD Wi-Fi card in Japan, the cool thing is they have a SD card planned that has memeory on (256MB i think) and the Wi-Fi bit too! I doubt we will see it in the UK for a long time though, but the drivers might be around by then I guess
Guest sabio_proeliat Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 They have allready been released http://www.sandisk.com/consumer/sdwifi.asp  No drivers for smartphone though
