Guest nickcornaglia Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 In a discussion on this and another forum, people were concerned there was no registry editor for the i600 since PHMRegEdit only runs on unlocked phones. I mentioned that there is a registry editor in RescoExplorer and no one believed me. I finally received an explanation why I can see it and others cant. 1. The number "2003" in the name "Explorer 2003" does not mean that it is only for SmartPhone 2003 (WM 2003). It means that the product was introduced to the market in the year 2003. 2. There are two versions for SmartPhone: "Explorer 2003 for SmartPhone 2002" and "Explorer 2003 for SmartPhone 2003" (what is equal to Windows Mobile 2003-based SmartPhone but shorter) Both versions are available on our web page http://www.resco-net.com/smartphone/smarte...xplorer_dwn.asp The version for 2002 is available also "over-the-air" at http://www.resco-net.com/smart/explorer/ex...xplorer_try.htm 3. Up to version 4.30 the Explorer 2003 package contained the Registry Editor. Starting with version 4.40 we decided to lower its price (by $5) and exclude the registry editor into separate installation called "Resco Registry Add-in". The users who bought the original version (for $19.95) with registry will obtain the registration codes for free. The users who bought the cheaper version (for $14.95) have to purchase the Registry Add-in separatelly. Juro (from Resco) So now i600 users can edit the registry too.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 And even better and FREE method is this using PHM Registry Editor: Okay....you can get REGEDIT and many other progs to install that normally wont install on the i600. Download PHMRegistry Editor from Monolithix.org Open the cab file on your PC with WinRAR or WinZip Extract the file named 0regedit.001 to your PC desktop. Rename the file regedit.exe Drag it to your phone. Create a shortcut. You now have a registry editor!!!! FOR FREE!
Guest nickcornaglia Posted November 27, 2003 Report Posted November 27, 2003 This also worked with Orneta Notepad. I guess it works with programs that do not require any other libraries.
