Guest smartgatto Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Premise: am using an automatic translator since I don't know well the English! Excuse me for the errors! I have put all the formulations as you have written me but nothing to be done: he doesn't connect. Possible that I/you/he/she am the broken telephone? It receives and it perfectly transmits phone calls and sms, but when I try to connect me to internet there is the writing "Connection... " and on the bar of the signal the G comes, but then it stops them to him and after a pò it tells me that it is impossible to connect me. The connection GPRS is independent from the net GSM? Because I feels like thinking that I/you/he/she am broken something that manages the gprs but not the net gsm. And' Possible? Thanks

Yes, GPRS is independent of GSM Do you get the centre G when the phone is switched on ? Test the WAP connection ( APN wap.tim.it) with wsp://www.google.com/wml GPRS WAP should work on your SIM. Test the Internet Connetion (APN uni.tim.it) with http://www.google.com Call 119 and check that GPRS internet is activated on you account. Check that the username and password for Internet is correct (SMS to 1900) Here is some information that might help. http://www.telital.com/downloads/doc/param..._tim_it_2_0.pdf

Guest martin Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 You could try changing the authentication type between PAP/CHAP in Settings - Accessories - Authentication. Have you tried your SIM in another GPRS phone ?
