Guest gkane Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I would like to see an application that when your phone is in the dock and you receive a call, a small xp type popup box apprears on your PC with caller id information. If this app exsists please let me know... I've been looking...
Guest [email protected] Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Cool. How about an SMS composer-app.?
Guest Brody Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Cool. How about an SMS composer-app.? Like THIS?
Guest statscat Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 sendSMS rocks, its lush. You need to make sure your phone is unlocked so it can load the device side componenets, works a treat with The E200 too
Guest Jasonkruys Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Yeah, I think we need summat like nokia pc tools for the 82/8310 i think. Send sms is top, but maybe some kind of integration with the inbox is needed, and as mentioned it would be cool if you could see on screen when someone is calling etc ... I would pay for such an app if it was good enough!
Guest mike-oh Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Even better would be it it routed the call through your pc's speakers and microphone!
Guest NRoodyn Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 SendSMS Beta 1.5 now available thanks for all the great comments on SendSMS. Finally I have managed to get the time to work on some more features for SendSMS. You can now download the beta of SendSMS 1.5. If you download it then please be aware that it is a beta, I am interested in hearing all your feedback so I can get any issues sorted as soon as possible and release version 1.5. http://www.sendsms.roodyn.com/SendSMSNews.htm The 2 main new features in this version are the ones I had the most requests for: 1. Delivery receipt request 2. Sent messages added to an Outlook Folder Please note you will have to uninstall the previous version before you can install this new version. happy sms'ing Dr. Neil SendSMS News
Guest Brody Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Not sure if this is an isolated case but my PC sits on the "Initialising Smartphone Device..." prompt?
Guest Croccy22 Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Even better would be it it routed the call through your pc's speakers and microphone! If you've got a e200 and a blutooth dongle for your pc. just enable the headset profile on your pc and this works fine. you can use your microphone and speakers to talk on your phone. Matt Croccy22
Guest maxh2003 Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Not sure if this is an isolated case but my PC sits on the "Initialising Smartphone Device..." prompt? Mine too, and the oddest thing is, it sticks on "Initialising Smartphone Device..." even if the phone isn't plugged in at all - i.e. it fails to detect that the phone isn't present...? The previous version worked fine, and I *did* remove SendSMS properly (i.e. Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs) before installing the new version...
Guest danhs Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 There is software that does callerID and sms send/receive from a computer and its free, unfortunately its Mac OS X only, the built in address book allows it through the bluetooth support
Guest scottt Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 It should be able to do - a friend of mine had a home phone conected to his tv and when his phone rang it showed the caller's id on a pop up box on his tv
