Guest boysie Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 I have a Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse from Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseand...st.aspx?wired=2 I can connect the Phone to the desktop and it is paired with out issue. When I try and get ActiveSync to work over the BT connection it tells me I have to add a pairing with a Bluetooth device that supports serial com connection and Activesync. Is there something I'm missing as I would expect this to just work seeing as they are both from MS. Can any one help? Thanks Boysie.
Guest MECX Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 I read somewhere that the microsoft bluetooth dongle that was bundled with the keyboard didnt support connections from other devices (suppart from the keybord and mouse) cant remember where sorry
Guest boysie Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 It does work with the phone...it can even use the phone as a modem. so the device will connect to the phone...just the bluetooth dongle does not seem to support mapping com ports to a bluetooth device. I have brought a cheap BT dongle and with the Widcomm and this does support BT Serial Port. But still the phone refuses to work through the com port... I do get further than before as the phone now makes a connection on the com port but Active sync will not reconsie the device... grrr... maybe a newer version of the widcomm software is required... any one know where to get a new version from? Boysie
