Guest leo-balou Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Just read an article written by ZDNet saying we might be left out in the cold with Smartphone technical support. Article here. This may sway a few decisions when buying an new Smartphone device! They could always join this forum I suppose!!
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Having to pay to speak to an OCS operator who's underqualified in the firstplace is not good atall. If this does happen then forgodsake please make the IT staff wary of how to fix the "problems" customers may be experiencing. Got to laugh at this aswell, 'A Vodafone spokeswoman said the company would not comment on its customer support strategy because it was "privileged information."' If you think Orange are bad - give Vodafone a try out -useless !!
Guest Bunchie Posted November 28, 2003 Report Posted November 28, 2003 Damn! If this happens then i'm personally not going to be a very happy man. Why should we be discriminated against purely on our choice of phone?
Guest drblow Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 That's wild!! If they don't want to lose money providing support, why don't they give us phones that work!!?? Anyway, if this does happen, I'm going to make a point of phoning them every day with a technical problem I know they can't solve (like gprs) & then demand my money be refunded coz they haven't given me a solution. If they start to charge for the service, it would NEED to have THE ANSWERS!!!
Guest nCoder Posted November 29, 2003 Report Posted November 29, 2003 It was obviously going to happen some time...and Smartphone in this context will basically be extended by the operators to refer to anything with a colour screen.
