I hope I can solicit some help. I currently own a ipaq h5555, Palm T3 as well as a nextel i90. I am getting tired carrying at least 2 of these devices. Currently carrying the h5555 as well as the i90. I have had a Kyocera 7125 from verizon, but returned it b/c of phone problems. I would like to incorporate at least 2 of these devices. I am a physician an keep much of my clinical data on my PDA. Such as epocrates (a medicaltion index) as well as many clinical references. From my reading I don't thing I will be able to import that info to a windows mobile smartphone as the applications have to be altered to fit the screen. Can anyone give me some advice on the larger devices?? pros/cons. I suppose I am going to end up carrying a larger device incorporating my pda as well as phone functionality. I just do not want to purchase something that is going to be junk in the next week.

Please help.

Do you have GSM coverage there?

If so, I would suggest an iMate Phone Edition (an XDA2), or if you need CDMA perhaps a Samsung i700.

The smartphones, while being fantastic devices, won't be suitable for your medical applications, whereas there are a number of these for Pocket PCs...

I live in New York. I think there is GSM coverage here?? Where can I find a picture of the iMate Phone Edition (an XDA2), I have seen the i700 on the verizon website.

I have been reading about microsoft not supporting the PPC anymore at least not primary. They said in a interview located on brighthand.com that the will be focusing on the tablet and the smartphone. I don't want to be left with a device that is not supported.
